Hardwood Firewood and Kindling Delivery

At Ystwyth Valley Sawmill, we are able to deliver quality, seasoned hardwood firewood logs to your door.

Kindling can also be supplied with your order.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality seasoned hardwood logs in West Wales and our many customers will vouch for this.

Species

All our hardwood firewood comes from sustainable local sources and, as such, our supply includes native hardwoods such as Oak, Ash, Beech, Chestnut, Blackthorn, and occasionally Laburnum. All the firewood bags are usually mixed hardwoods, although we can cater for specific requirements.

Seasoned for at least one year

We understand that your firewood must be seasoned correctly. Not too wet, and not too dry. That's why we ensure your firewood is seasoned within very specific timelines depending on the size and type of firewood required. Quality is very important.

Split to your requirements

We will split and cut the logs to your specifications. The pieces can range from 8 inches diameter to 18 inches diameter - just let us know whatever size you require and we will split it!

Environmentally friendly and sustainable firewood

All the hardwood firewood comes from locally sourced, environmentally friendly woodland - more often than not from wind blows (when a tree is blown over in a storm). We collect most of the timber ourselves with our Autotrek mobile band saw mill, which reduces the costs both in terms of labour and transportation. We abide by FSC principles in everything we do so you can be sure your firewood comes from sustainable sources.

Order Volumes

We can deliver any quantity required within reason. Generally, we ask for a minimum of 1/2 a trailer load (2 bags - see pictures below) and there is no maximum.

Existing Customers

We have a very large customer base, ranging from small households to larger industrial customers. We are also very proud to supply firewood to the Centre for Alternative Technology (C.A.T.), based in Machynlleth, West Wales.

Delivery Area

Our mill is located close to Aberystwyth, West Wales. We will generally deliver within 25 miles of our location, but arrangements can also be made for larger orders if you are further afield. Please get in touch if you want to check.
